Prior to joining BURKETTDESIGN, Peter Carlson worked six years with the Denver architectural firm, C.W. Fentress J.H. Bradburn and Associates. At Fentress Bradburn and Associates, Peter worked on several large-scale public entity projects and several national design competitions. One such competition resulted in the commission to design two separate office structures for the City of Oakland, California. Peter’s role on the various teams with whom he worked included all phases of design and documentation.
At BURKETTDESIGN, Peter has furthered his efforts to develop a core and shell portfolio of projects, integrating the disciplines of interior design and architecture. Peter was born in Boulder, Colorado. He studied Studio Art at The Colorado College, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree, Peter attended the University of Utah, receiving a Master’s Degree in Architecture. A dedication to architectural history and a desire to continue the educational process, led Peter to Chicago, Illinois, where he worked several years for Lohan Associates, formerly the office of Mies van der Rohe. History and process began to have a foundation, yet the lure of both family and the mountains brought Peter back to Colorado.
