Independence Capital is a start up financial management firm that saw the design of their new space as an opportunity to define their culture and to create an elegant and timeless atmosphere within their office. This was accomplished through the use of rich, natural materials juxtaposed with the simple, clean lines of the floor plan. In the public areas of the space, the informal reception and waiting area utilizes quarter sawn eucalyptus wood panels, natural ostrich gray slate and quartz countertops to create a welcoming comfortable environment for visitors and potential clients. The eucalyptus panels and slate flooring continue into the main conference room where they are complemented by the use of patterned art glass, which provides privacy while allowing light to penetrate. In the office area, collaboration was an integral part of the design. Innovative workstation panels are composed of horizontal aluminum channels and panel height is minimized to create an open dynamic work area for the financial analysts. Translucent glass is utilized at all private offices to maintain a connection to the open office area and to again allow natural daylight to penetrate into the space. From the open collaborative environment used by the financial analysts to the refined and sophisticated public spaces, the composition of unique materials makes a distinctive statement for this young organization. |
