BURKETTDESIGN served as design architect and project manager for this new $20 million 9-12 High School for 610 students. This was one of three major school projects on this K-12 campus on the growth edge of the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan area.
The District underwent a radical change over the past twenty years, having transformed from a rural farming community to a bedroom community for Metro Columbus. In order to accommodate current and future enrollment growth, the new high school building was designed for expansion to accommodate ten years of anticipated enrollment increases.
The school is approximately 102,000 s.f. on two floors, and included state-of-the art laboratories, classrooms, media center/cybrary, gymnasium/physical education complex, as well as future expansion for additional classrooms and a performing arts complex.
